Yorkshire -Ilkley Moor - The Twelve ApostlesI visited Ilkley Moor less than well prepared (from a map and compass perspective), but was well rewarded with two stone circles. These two are a couple of miles east of the Badger stone. |

| The Grubstones This second circle can be easily located as it is near the derelict railway wagon. My fellow circle hunter Anton is standing in the middle of the circle of smallish boulders, almost overgrown by the thick heather. |

Hadrian's WallOkay - Hadrian's Wall isn't in Yorkshire, and it isn't even a stone-age monument. But I don't care, the Romans were remarkable builders even if they did rob stone from earlier megalithic sites.
